-refuses to sign divorce papers. We seperated cuz he cheated on me more than once with multiple women and left me for one he worked with at walmart. He stayed with her for the last 3 years until the she realized that he was a cheater and a beater, i warned her and told her it was going to happen to her to and that Karma was a ***** she didnt want to believe me but she learned her lesson the hard way. This girl even showed me pics of her bruises from when he would beat her, he did the same to me so in the end i feel like she did me a favor when he left me. so any way she eneded up breaking the relationship with him and guess what? the idiot wanted me back, what a coincidence huh? with no job, no money, no place to stay, no dumb girlfriend to drive him around any more of course he would want me back, but unfortunately for him i got over him and didn't fall fro his lies again. I met someone else as well and well got pregnant by this guy, lol talk about my lifes story,sounds like a soap opera. Well i told him i was pregnant (the guy i married) i mean this guy broke my heart and treated me like i was lower than dirt so i didn't care if he knew that i got pregnant by another man. I talked to him and told him I wanted a divorce now i've been telling him about a divorce for years now but he refuses to sign papers, he tells me that he still loves me and hopes to work things out with me one day but I am so over this guy it's not even funny. Plus who wants to be with a 28 year old lazy bum, women beater, cheater and who's prolly full of STD's??? NOT ME. . . NOOOOO. How do i get rid of this guy once in for all??? How can I get a divorce from him when he refuses to sign??? I live in TX and the lawyer i spoke to said she could send him a letter to sign but if he refused she would have to serve him with the divorce papers again and charge me another 500.00 dollars just for reserving!!! ugh, i am so frustrated i just want my freedom back especially now that I am going to have my baby. Please tell me what you think i should do.No idea
If he refuses to sign, you can go ahead and schedule the court hearing. Make sure you give him adequate notice, and if he still doesn't sign or doesn't show up for court, you will be granted the divorce anyway. And you will get whatever you've asked for, which should include everything in your home and half of whatever you two saved or invested. He'll just be screwing himself if he refuses to sign.
Texas is a no fault state - the reason for the divorce doesn't matter. Whether one person agrees to the divorce or not also doesn't matter. You can get the same forms that your lawyer would file and do it yourself cheaper if money is the issue. Just look up TX divorce laws.



It might be in your best interest to have a lawyer, especially with a baby on the way.
seperated 3 years ,there must be someway to get around his signature,you may be able to go to the court with the pictures of abuse and tell them what he did to you and see if they an get him to sign or file desertion.Think your lawyer is money hungary it took me 3 years from my lawyer to get a divorce i had 1 bad lawyer got another that bagged me bigtime money finaly done.the ink was,nt even dried and she is having anothers child,picture that.Good riddence to bad rubbish
